What is on the lot in Magog today
Our online inventory showed 21 new 2026 Tucsons in stock on September 24, 2026.
- Preferred: 3, all grey.
- Preferred with Trend Package: 10 — silver, grey and white.
- N Line Hybrid: 6 — grey, black and one red.
- Ultimate Hybrid: 2 — one grey, one black.
- Ultimate Plug-in Hybrid: none. It can be ordered.
Our take: a lot fills up based on what sells. Ten Trends out of 21 means that is where most buyers find the balance between price and equipment. And if your choice lands on the plug-in hybrid, count on an ordering lead time, which we confirm with you before you sign.
The five trims and their all-in prices

All-wheel drive is standard on all five trims. Unlike several competitors, you do not have to move up the range to get it; the choice comes down to powertrain and equipment.
Why today's price may differ from this table. Our website shows the price advertised today, with this month's rebate deducted when there is one. The table, meanwhile, is dated and excludes rebates. When the two differ, it is this month's rebate, or a price revision by Hyundai Canada since September 24.

Gas, hybrid or plug-in hybrid: the real first question
An equipment package can add the features you want; the powertrain is something you live with every day. The figures below are Hyundai Canada's, checked on September 24, 2026.
The 2.5 L gas engine
It is the powertrain of both Preferred trims: 187 hp, 8-speed automatic, official rating of 9.7 L/100 km in the city, 7.7 on the highway and 8.8 combined. It is also the only one that allows the highest towing in the lineup, up to 3,500 lb. If you tow a small boat or a light travel trailer on Lake Memphremagog, that is decisive, and it may seem counterintuitive: here, the entry trim is the most capable.
The 1.6 L turbo hybrid
It powers the N Line and Ultimate trims: 6-speed automatic and regenerative braking. The gas engine and the electric motor take turns, especially at low speed and when slowing down, and you never plug anything in. Official combined rating: 6.7 L/100 km, which gives up to 776 km per tank according to Hyundai Canada. In return, towing drops to 2,000 lb. If you are not familiar with how a hybrid works, we explain it in our article on how a hybrid car works.
The plug-in hybrid
Reserved for the Ultimate. A 72 kW electric motor and a 13.8 kWh battery join the 1.6 L turbo, for 268 hp and 271 lb-ft. It plugs in and offers about 51 km of purely electric range, for a total range of about 674 km. Towing stays at 2,000 lb.
Our take: this trim makes sense for a very specific type of driver. It is made for people whose daily driving fits within those 51 km and who charge at home. A Magog–Sherbrooke round trip is about 60 km: most of it is done on electricity, not all of it. Without a home charger, the plug-in hybrid loses most of its appeal, and the regular hybrid becomes the logical choice.
What each price step buys, feature by feature
The lists that follow come from the standard equipment published by Hyundai Canada for each trim, checked on September 24, 2026. We kept only what changes from one step to the next.

Step 1
From the Preferred to the Preferred with Trend Package: +$3,700
What is added
Panoramic sunroof · 18-in. wheels · fully digital 12.3-in. instrument cluster · smart power liftgate · leatherette seats · wireless charging · digital key · rain-sensing wipers · LED tail lights · LED interior lighting · dark chrome grille and bumper trim.
What does not change
The 2.5 L engine and the 8-speed automatic, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, the 12.3-in. touchscreen, the driver assistance features and the 3,500 lb towing.
Worth the difference if you wanted the sunroof or the hands-free liftgate anyway: neither can be added afterwards.
Keep your money if you mostly drive alone, in town, and cloth does not bother you.
Step 2
From the Preferred Trend to the N Line Hybrid: +$5,200
What is added
The 1.6 L turbo hybrid powertrain with its 6-speed automatic · 8-speaker Bose audio system · heated rear seats · N Line leather and suede seats with red stitching · 19-in. wheels · N Line bumpers, grille, spoiler and diffuser · ambient lighting · auto-dimming rear-view mirror with HomeLink · sport pedals.
What goes away
Towing drops from 3,500 to 2,000 lb, and the leatherette gives way to leather and suede.
Worth the difference if you drive 20,000 km or more a year: according to the official ratings, the hybrid uses 2.1 L less per 100 km than the gas engine, about 420 litres a year at that mileage.
Keep your money if you tow a trailer over 2,000 lb, or if you do not drive much.
Step 3
From the N Line Hybrid to the Ultimate Hybrid: +$3,400
What is added
Leather seats · ventilated front seats · 8-way power passenger seat and driver's seat memory · built-in navigation on the 12.3-in. screen · head-up display · 360° cameras and camera-based blind-spot monitoring · highway driving assist and Smart Cruise Control 2 · remote smart parking assist · LED projector headlights.
What goes away
The N Line look: bumpers, spoiler, leather and suede seats, red stitching, sport pedals. The engine, though, is the same.
Worth the difference if you do long highway drives or park in tight spots: it is the only step that buys nothing but equipment, and it is the cheapest in the lineup.
Keep your money if the N Line styling is what drew you in. The Ultimate is more understated, not sportier.
Step 4
From the Ultimate Hybrid to the Ultimate Plug-in Hybrid: +$5,300
What is added
The 72 kW electric motor, the 13.8 kWh battery, about 51 km of electric range and 268 hp. Nothing else: the equipment is the same as on the Ultimate Hybrid.
Worth the difference if your daily driving fits within 51 km, you have a home charger, and the math still works once winter is factored in.
Keep your money if you cannot charge at home, or if your trips regularly exceed the electric range.
From the Preferred to the Ultimate Plug-in Hybrid, the total spread is $17,600: three equipment steps and two powertrain changes. The math on step 4 depends on your mileage, your electricity and the price of gas; we redo it with you at the dealership, with your numbers.
Everyday cargo space

It is something the price table does not tell you: cargo volume is the same on the gas and hybrid trims. Only the plug-in hybrid loses a little space under the floor, because of the battery. If cargo room is your number one criterion, it does not justify moving up the range.
What about the Night Edition Hybrid?
The question comes up, and here is the exact answer as of September 24, 2026. Hyundai Canada does list a Night Edition Hybrid in Quebec, at $46,521 all-in, which is $1,000 below the N Line Hybrid. It starts from the Preferred Trend equipment, adds the hybrid powertrain and a blacked-out treatment: 19-in. wheels, bumper trim, mirror caps and black emblems. It has neither the Bose audio system, nor the heated rear seats, nor the N Line's leather and suede seats.
It is not among the five configurations on our 2026 Tucson page, and we have none on the lot. If that is the one you want, write to us: we check whether it can be ordered, and the lead time, before making you a promise.
The Tucson in winter in the Eastern Townships
Between Magog, Orford and Sherbrooke, an icy climb in February is easier to handle with power to all four wheels. Since all-wheel drive is standard on all five trims, you do not need to choose a higher trim to get it.
The regular hybrid behaves well in cold weather, because it never relies on its battery alone: the gas engine takes over when needed and heats the cabin.
The plug-in hybrid, for its part, loses electric range when it gets very cold. That is true of every battery, from every manufacturer. At −25 °C, count on noticeably less than the rated 51 km. The vehicle will not leave you stranded; the gas engine simply takes over sooner. But if your cost calculation relies on 51 km every day of the year, redo it with winter included. We would rather tell you before the purchase than in January.

Drive two trims side by side in Magog
There is a limit to what a list of features can tell you. The difference between cloth and leather, between gas and hybrid, is judged behind the wheel. We can park two trims side by side and let you switch from one to the other the same day. Tell us which ones.
Book your comparison test drive
In the “Vehicle” field, name the two trims you want to drive, for example “Tucson Preferred Trend and N Line Hybrid”. An advisor calls you back to confirm the date.
Frequently asked questions
Which 2026 Tucson trim should you choose to tow a trailer?
The gas trims, Preferred and Preferred Trend. They allow up to 3,500 lb, versus 2,000 lb for the hybrid and the plug-in hybrid, according to Hyundai Canada. It is one of the rare cases where the entry-level trim is the most capable.
Is the plug-in hybrid worth it in Quebec?
It depends on your mileage, your ability to charge at home, the cost of your electricity and of gas, and the incentives in effect at the time of purchase. The $5,300 gap over the Ultimate Hybrid makes the most sense when your daily driving fits within about 51 km and you charge at home. Winter reduces that range; factor that into your calculation.
Do the prices in this article include fees?
They include freight and PDI. Sales tax, fees and registration are added at the time of purchase, and no rebate is applied. They were checked on September 24, 2026 and can change without notice; the price advertised today is on the 2026 Tucson model page and in the list of today's prices, at the bottom of the page.
Is the Night Edition Hybrid offered in Magog?
It is not among our five configurations and we have none on the lot as of September 24, 2026. Hyundai Canada lists it in Quebec at $46,521 all-in. Write to us and we will check whether it can be ordered, and the lead time.
