The 2027 KONA is a 5-seat subcompact SUV offered in five trims: Essential, Preferred, Preferred with Trend Package, Luxury and N Line Ultimate. Depending on the trim, it includes two 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, standard LED front and rear lighting and the Hyundai SmartSense suite.
Two engines are offered: a 147 hp naturally aspirated 2.0L four-cylinder, or a 190 hp 1.6L turbo paired with an 8-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available on Essential and Preferred, and standard on Preferred Trend, Luxury and N Line Ultimate.
Every 2027 KONA trim includes the Hyundai SmartSense suite: forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot monitor and driver attention warning. Depending on the trim, you also get smart cruise control with stop and go, rear cross-traffic alert and a 360° surround view camera.
