V6 or hybrid: which should you choose?
The 2026 Palisade offers two powertrains, both with HTRAC all-wheel drive. The hybrid doesn’t plug in: you refuel it at the pump.
Which one should you choose?
To tow more than 4,000 lb, choose the V6. For lower fuel consumption, choose the hybrid: 8.1 L/100 km. Then compare seating and equipment in the trim table.
Winter driving
HTRAC all-wheel drive and Snow mode are standard on both. A heated steering wheel, heated front and 2nd-row seats, heated windshield washer nozzles and key fob remote start are included on every trim.

Does the 2026 Palisade have seven or eight seats?
Both are available. According to Hyundai Canada, the Preferred Trend and Luxury trims have eight seats as standard; the Luxury can be equipped with second-row captain’s chairs for seven seats, which are standard on XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy. Cargo space is 540 L behind the third row.
Is all-wheel drive standard on the 2026 Palisade?
Yes. All Palisade trims come with HTRAC all-wheel drive, with terrain modes for snow, mud and sand, according to Hyundai Canada. You don’t need to move up to a higher trim to get it.
